We recently captured Abbas and Saiqa’s wedding photoshoot in East London. Valentine’s Park completed the breathtaking backdrop for their love story. In Pakistani and many South Asian cultures, modesty and privacy are highly valued, especially during wedding ceremonies and bridal preparations. For Saiqa, having me there as a female photographer allowed her to feel at ease during the most intimate moments. She knew that I understood the cultural nuances and could focus on capturing her emotions without her ever feeling uncomfortable.
One of the biggest advantages of hiring a female photographer, particularly for an asian wedding, is the personal connection and ease of communication with the bride. Is about more than just snapping pictures, it’s about paying attention to details and making sure everything looks perfect in every frame.
Throughout the shoot, I made sure Saiqa's dress was flawlessly positioned. These are the small yet significant details that a bride often worries about and having a female wedding photographer who understands the importance of these little touches can make all the difference. My goal is always to make sure the bride not only looks her best but also feels her best, knowing that everything is being taken care of.
Valentine’s Park in Ilford was the perfect location for our couple’s photoshoot. The park’s atmosphere and beautiful gardens provided a romantic backdrop for their portraits. The soft afternoon light filtering through the trees gave the entire session a magical glow.
What made this shoot even more special was the connection we built with Saiqa and Abbas. They were so excited to take their wedding photos in the park. It meant a lot to us that they embraced our suggestion for a nature-based couple shoot. As a photographer, it’s incredibly rewarding when couples trust your creative vision and with them felt like we were all on the same page from the very beginning.
Some photoshoots leave a lasting feeling in your heart and this was one of them. Every moment with Saiqa and Abbas felt so genuine and it reminded me why I chose to do this in the first place.
